Interdependence means that all of the systems need all of the other systems.  They rely on one another for many different things and cannot function without the other.

The nervous and endocrine systems control the activities of the digestive, excretory, circulatory and respiratory systems.

Most jobs in the body need the support of 2 or more organ systems

Cellular respiration is how our body takes food and oxygen and turns it into energy

Interdependence

of Body Systems

Activity

Organ systems need to work together to maintain homeostasis in the body.

What is homeostasis?

Which systems work together?

Body Systems

When you run, you begin to breathe heavier and faster. Your heart beats more quickly, bringing more oxygen to your cells.

We need our respiratory system to take in the oxygen , we need our circulatory system to deliver the oxygen to the muscles and we need the digestive system to break the food down into nutrients like glucose to be turned into energy
