But the beginning of a new era.
Rebels, Battles, and Stubborn Kings
After the plague had pretty much diminished and the people made a cry to the kings, they ignored the people. The kings knew that a change in their life would bring a change in power and that's the last thing they wanted to happen. In order to stop the revolt, many battles between the kings men and people broke out. Although many lifes were lost and chaos spread like the plague, the determined people got what they wanted.
Now that the citizens had what they were fighting for, they all wanted to make the most of it. Everyone was in a rush to learn, explore, and create. All the city-states competed against each other to see who had the 'best' artwork. The amount of artwork coming from the early renaissance sold quickly and soon made Italy extremely prosperous.
Once the People had Won...
The kings men easily defeated the revolting people, but decided to start creating and learning for wealth.

What happened as a result of the Black Plague? And the result of the renaissance?
(The outcome)
The Black Plague
At the end of the middle ages, due to overpopulation and mice, the Black Plague hit Europe and gave the people no mercy. A third of the population died and people almost had to practically restart in life. The survivors took advantage of this opportunity to succeed so they rebeled against the kings who still wanted power. It took much work, but the people were very determined to end this way of life.

TRIVIA
(Rules)
- Two people from opposite sides of the classroom come up to face off.
- One side, decided by rock, paper, scissors, will choose to be either Florence or Venice based on personal preference.
- A question will flash up on the board and you want to be the first one to answer by slapping your hand gently against the set up desk.
- You will attempt to answer the question and if you get it right you will acquire a perfect art piece (point) for your team and city-state, but if you get it wrong you will lose a painting and the other city will get a try.
- You can't lose a painting if you don't have any and if the other team tries to answer after the opposing team has tried, then they won't have anything taken away because they weren't the first to answer.
- A tie in hitting the table will result in another rock, paper, scissors game.
