- Traded beads, metal, tools, and weapons for gold, ivory, ebony, and incense.
- Also traded for wood (Egypt had very little timber)
- She brought great wealth to Egypt.

- Nobles fought each other for power.
- A new dynasty came to power and moved the capital from Memphis to Thebes.
- This started the Middle Kingdom
