Purpose:
Factory Farming
The goal of factory farming is to mass produce
livestock and harvest them for meat, eggs, and milk for human consumption. It attempts to avoid high payments and rather focuses on producing their products efficiently, meaning low pricing and high production rates. With our economy requiring quicker means to products, technology is constantly advancing in the farming industry which was originally a slow and steady process.

What are some pros and cons of factory farming? Should it be legal or illegal?
Pros:
Cons
- The amount of water wasted
- The large amount of land used (every second of every day one football field of rainforest is being cut down and destroyed. Most of this forestland is being cut down to farm and used to raise livestock, which then is exported around the world to many fast food restaurants)
- Effects of the animals waste (water, air, global warming)
- Deforestation
- Loss of habitat
