The First Stereo Tape Recording was invented by by Helmut Kruger at German Radio in Berlin.

Pro: People will be able to record and listen to music and sounds wherever and whenever.

Con: Cause more car accidents because people are listening to the radio rather than paying attention.

In 1948 the micro groove vinal record was introduced by Columbian Records.

Pro: People could buy records and listen to them at home.

Con: Records could break and you wasted money, and they were eventually outdated.

The 8-track was invented in 1960 William Powell Lear.

Pro: It was the first portable music device

Con: It was really big.

Phillips invents the comapact casset tape in 1963.

Pro: Listen to music in the car, listen to books on them.

Con: Take up more space than recent recording devices.

Compact Disk (invented by Phillips in 1981) and Compact Disk Player ( invented by Sony in 1982)

Pros: Can buy CDs of all different kinds of music, with the CD player you can listen to music individually, and easily take your music with you.

Cons: CD's were easy to break, and also could get very scratched up. Good CD players were expensive and sometimes cheaper ones wouldnt last a long time.

In early 2001 the iPod was invented by Apple.

Pro: With the iPod you had 1,000 song in your pocket.

con: The first iPods only worked on Macs and costed 400 dollars
