- Women are treated similar to men in society.
- Women's status in the economy is considered secondary.
- Young women tend to take on jobs that are less in demand and have lower pay.

of Genders
- In the household, the woman was in charge and made all decisions related to home life.
- Men are the head of the family and rule everything else. However, men will not make any decisions without consulting with their wives.
Work, Power, and Political Gains
for Women
- Both men and women are employed outside the home and bias.
- Women employed outside the home work up to 6 1/2 hours a day and about 4 1/3 hours of housework at home.
- Women have not gained much power in political leadership roles in general.
- Women struggled between their maternal role as a mother and their jobs.
- Most women have to find jobs because of low incomes and rising prices.

- Poland is not considered a matriarchal society.
- Matriarchal societies have women in power and politics, but in this case, women do not completely rule Poland's society.
Matriarchal Society
- The majority of Poland is Roman Catholic with about 91% of the county being Catholic.
- Only effect the religion has on women's rights is that women can not hold any leadership status in the Catholic Church.
