What is Higher Level Gymnastics?
In gymnastics your skill level is based on a number 1-10. 1 is the lowest level (beginners) and 10 is the highest (advanced). Very few gyms in the country are capable of coaching gymnasts wishing to become level 10 gymnasts. So if you don't live in one of those areas you might not be able to become a level 10 gymnast. The higher levels of gymnastics are considered levels 8, 9, and 10.
How will we advertise?
Coastal Carolina Gymnastics
We plan to do the majority of our advertising through radio because people spend a great deal of time in the car and we are only trying to reach a specific area of North Carolina. Radio advertising would be perfect for us because it is less expensive than other forms of advertising and we would still be able to reach our target market.
Location
We plan to have our gym located in Wilmington, NC. We picked this location because there are two other gyms in the area and neither of them are capable of coaching higher level gymnastics, this will give us some competition but not too much competition. This location is also a good choice because since the two other gyms are in the area, we can get customers that decide they do not want to go to the other gyms.
Our Market and Competition
Overview of Our Business
Our primary market is kids from the age of 3-18 who are looking to participate and compete in gymnastics, but more importantly our market is their parents because they will be the ones paying for their children to participate in gymnastics. As for our competition, there are two other gyms in this area. They are Port City Gymnastics and Gymnastics Unlimited. Neither of these gyms are capable of coaching upper level gymnastics.
Our business is a gym. Our goal is to be capable of coaching higher level gymnastics, since both of the gyms in our area are incapable of doing so. We plan to coach both boys and girls gymnastics, recreational classes, tumbling classes, after school programs, and many other activities. There is a high demand for a gym capable of coaching upper level gymnastics in Wilmington, North Carolina so I know our business would do well.

The services we provide to our customers is that we have a safe environment for children to learn gymnastics to their full potential. We will also have coaches that are capable of coaching kids to their full potential. What separates us from our competitors is that we have coaching staff who can coach gymnasts who have reached the higher levels of gymnastics.
