Although this school does not after activities to offer, you can always find things to do around Atlanta. For myself, I'd get a job and get involved with a volunteer Fire Dept.
Extra:
I had the chance to tour Gupton Jones over the summer of 2014. I was able to meet the directors of the school and talk to them about my plans. I was given the chance to observe their embalming tools and also their casket room. During the tour I was taught about the history of the school and I was given a description of some classes I'd have to take.
1. When you send in an application, you also have to send in a recent photograph of yourself.
2. There is a strict dress code while attending class. Each student must where funeral attire. Women wear dresses, skirts, or slacks. Men wear slacks with button ups and ties.
3. Senior year, students are given a plastic head and art materials to make a create a face. The grades are given by how symmetrical and human like it appears to look.
4. With my AA degree to transfer the 18 month program is made into only a 12 month program and I go in as a junior.
5. Gupton Jones has it's own embalming products that are sold through the United States and tools used to embalming.
