Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket Presentation

Theme

Man vs Man- I think it would be man against man because he is having problems within his head against their self.

Various plot points

Setting: New York City, in an apartment building. Cold, chilly night around 7.

Problem: Tom's paper flew out the window and he needs to get the paper because his work is important

Exposition: Tom's yellow paper flies out the window.

Rising Action: Tom goes out the window to try to get his yellow paper.

Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket

Climax: Tom goes to get his yellow paper, and gets stuck out of the ledge.

Falling Action: As Tom's out on the window, he gets scared. He grabs the yellow paper, and tries to get back in side, but struggles to get back in.

Resolution: In the end Tom gets back inside his apartment building, with the yellow paper in hand. As soon as Tom get into him home, he sets down the yellow paper, and grabs his coat, to join his wife. The yellow paper, gently flies out the window once again.

Resolution: AT the end o the story, Tom understands what he is doing wrong, and once he gets back inside. He changes his life. He grabs his coat to go join his wife. He also lets the yellow work paper fly out the window.

Conflict

Plot Points

Event 1- Toms yellow work paper flies out of a window.

Event 2- Tom goes out of his window to fetch the lost important paper.

Internal conflict- In the story, Tom has internal conflict with himself because when he is out the the ledge, he comes to his senses. He realizes what he is doing to himself, his job, and his wife. He has problem aainst himself.

Protagonist/Characters

Event 3- Tom reached the yellow paper out of the ledge. He retrieves the paper, and puts it in his pocket. As Tom is out on the ledge, he realizes that he is not making the best choices towards his wife/life.

Event 4-Toms tries to go back towards the window. He cant seem to get in side. He scares himself that he might die.

Tom Benecke- Tom is the protagonist. He is the protagonist because he is the main character. Tom works a lot and revolves his life around his job.

Event 5- Tom breaks the window, he finally gets into his apartment. Tom reached for the yellow paper in his pocket, and lays it flat on the table. As he grabs his hat and coat to join his wife, the yellow paper flies right on the window again.

External conflict- Tom has external conflict because he is trying to get his yellow important paper from outsides ledge. As he is out there, he struggles to get the yellow paper, as well as to get back in side.

Clare Beneche- Clare is a beautiful, light-brown haired woman.
