- The West End Alliance CDC, the first ever community development corporation for all of District 2
- Working with all six Police Zones across the City of Pittsburgh to address comments, concerns, and needs- to ensure morale and help with retention of officers.
- Working on legislation in regards to the hiring and retention of police.
- Presents numerous proclamations for public safety officers and takes part in the promotion process for all units.
- Organizes public safety events for all of District 2.
- Works continuously with our local Veterans.
- Revitalization of the Sheraden Community
"This is the first time in 20 years that Sheraden has gotten the needed attention for revitalization," Ms. Kail-Smith said. "It's not just a housing effort, because housing problems generate blight and crime."
