Apple Inc. Business Portfolio Sections 3 & 4
Social Responsibility
How it all began...
In 1976 Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started the Apple computer. They started working in Jobs garage and paid for the start up costs by Jobs selling his Volkswagen and Wozniak selling his scientific calculator. They wanted to just get a computer in the hands of everyday people. They first created the Apple I computer, hand made by Wozniak with Jobs in doing the marketing. Jobs did leave Apple to go build hardware through a different company bu eventually returned and made Apple stronger. Apple began as a partnership but since 1976, it has grown to be one of the best companies in the technology industry.
