- Roger Severs returned home after being out drinking
- His mother, Eileen, refused to give him money
- he became angry and beat her to death with a steak mallet
- he hit her 8 times in the head, fracturing her skull then wrapped her in a yellow blanket
- When his father, Derek arrived home he beat him to death as well
