Other Attractions
The Atlantic
Iceland is bursting with naturally occurring hot springs such as Seljavallalaug, Mývatn Nature Baths, Landmannalaugar, and the not naturally occurring Blue Lagoon. Hot springs are classified as aquatic biomes.
Iceland is located in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean, a salt water biome filled with arctic marine animals unique to the area. If you are an animal watcher visiting Iceland, part of your trip can consist of venturing along the coast, keeping and eye out for aquatic life.
The Blue Lagoon
At the Blue Lagoon you can enjoy your time in the spa, lounge areas, in-water massages, receive a guided tour, and even host an event or business meeting!
Iceland's Highlands
Iceland's landscape is made up of a tundra biome with highlands such as the Southern Highlands, pictured on the right. The reason these highlands are such beauties is partially due to the fact that no humans have ever inhabited them.
However, these roads are only accessible during the Icelandic summer. All other months, the roads are closed due to ice.

Other Beautiful Features of Iceland:
Waterfalls, such as the Svartifoss Waterfall pictured below
Because Iceland is a part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, a volcanic mountain range in the Atlantic Ocean that stretches all the way around the world, it is filled with volcanoes, many of them active.
