The process model used by the researchers in developing and the android mobile application “Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine Mobile Android Application” is the Rapid Application Development (RAD).
The research study aimed to develop an Android Mobile Application that can be easily used in case of emergency and it has the capability to categorize and suggests herbal remedies, and a human anatomy that will show probable illnesses in each part of the body. It is expected to provide android users a quick, flexible and a digital way of knowing about information on how disorders can be cured. Android users can easily search or find ways that can help alleviate illnesses. It would also raise the familiarity and skills of the developers so that in the future, they would formulate again better and useful applications. This is essential for future researchers to develop related applications to improve the quality and delivery of herbal remedies to the Asian countries. This also serves as their basis on developing related application. The researchers were able to design and develop an Encyclopaedia of herbal medicine mobile android application and have come up with the following findings: evidences of clinical effectiveness is rated according to quality; the use of herbal medicines and derived products should therefore be considered within the context of their use; security measures were imposed to make sure that the only authorized persons can access the system.
