A major concept of horror is the idea that horror is ultimately driven by our curiosity. The existence of monsters and the possibility of their existence drives our curiosity.
If you were to write a horror story it is almost essential to have stories that are constantly discovering and “proving” something that is impossible.
It is common for characters in your story to undergo a journey to discover that monsters exist. Can it be summoned, can it be created?
