ATF's Mission:

We partner with communities, industries, law enforcement, and public safety agencies to safeguard the public we serve through information sharing, training, research and use of technology."
The Department of Justice's Mission Statement:
"To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans. May oppose gun control laws because of money given to them by the NRA.
The ASC may give the ATF money
May question the policies that the NRA wants to pass. Must answer whether the NRA's policies are safe or necessary for the United States.
In response to money from the NRA, the ASC will vote for less gun control.
Gives the most funds to this committee.
Lobbies
The ATF needs the US to have sufficient gun rights in order to do their job. Without guns, the ATF will not have people to catch and gun laws to enforce.
The NRA helps make sure that the ATF will always have a purpose.
Constituent Support.
The NRA is a nonprofit organization based in America. It was founded in 1871 and is still extremely prevalent today. The NRA's main focus in the political spectrum is the civil right to bear arms, outlines in the 2nd Amendment.
