The Wampus Cat
A animal half man half lion
stared him in the eyes.
This was the Wampus cat.
Then a howl filled the forest.
The woods began to fill with a terrible stench,like a wet animal.
The man terrified ran as fast as he could to his friend's house.
A man was hunting one night and found his dogs whimpering.
This was forbidden ,
she was caught and bound to
the mountain lion skin and
turned into the wampus cat.
She spied on them and watched the men do magic and tell storys.
His friend slamed the door
in the Wampus cat's face
and began to read
Psalms from the
Bible
When they began to set camp,
she hid behind a rock with
a mountain lions pelt to
hide her from them.
Hearing the holy words the creature howled in frustration and gave up.
One day an indian women decided to follow a hunting party.
The man spent the rest of the night at his friends house.
In the morning he found his dogs scared but still alive, he never hunted after dark again.
