Gettysburg Address

November 19th,1863

The Gettysburg Address is about how all men are created equal and that our four fathers wanted this idea to be dedicated. We as a nation need to come together to make this the nation our four fathers would have wanted.

The 13th Amendment

Janurary 31st, 1865

The 13th amendment was the amendment that declared slavery to be no more. All men are created equal in the eyes of the law.

Lincoln's main purpose on this speech is that he wants there to be no war or conflict between the North and South. He wants peace between everyone and for us to be one again.

Letter to Ablert G. Hodges

April 14th, 1864

In the letter to Albert G. Hodges, Lincoln tells him that slavery is wrong in God's eyes. If God knew what was happening everyone would be considered sinning in the eyes of the lord.

Emancipation Proclamation

January 1st,1863

The Emancipation Proclamation declared to free all slaves in Southern states that were part of the Confederacy. The Proclamation had little immediate effect.
