The Five Important Functions The Pheasant Uses

Why is the pheasant endangered?

The Pheasants aren't really endangered in the world, but they are getting there. It is because they are being over-hunted and their natural habitats keep on getting destroyed, especially in Britain. They're on the verge of becoming extinct, since 1840. Because the fox family is invasive in England. You can protect them by getting some Pheasants and raising them like chickens and keep raising them that way.

  • The lady pheasant is a tough bird because they can with stand really hot climates and really cold climates.
  • Males are the most colorful birds in the world, for the pheasants family. Because males court females so they can be together and have babies. They court by dancing around the females and making whistling noises and ''love'' sounds.
  • Pheasants would prefer to be on the ground and high places. But if there is a predator coming at them they will suddenly burst and fly up very fast.
  • the males have small spurs on their feet, to help aggressively defend their territory or themselves.
  • Females have dull, brown, and black colored feathers, to help them blend in with the environment, especially when they're incubating their eggs on the ground.
