A Start on Avoid :

I avoided the car crash -

So....What is Avoid?

To avoid is to physically make the decision to stay away from

someone or something.

In other words, by staying clear of something potentially harmful or hurtful we can prevent a physical interaction

(i.e collision).

Examples of Avoid:

By doing your homework, you can avoid detention.

-Since you did the homework, you have escaped from detention.
