Colonization

  • There were 3 main sections: Old World Web, the American Web, and the Pacific Web.
  • In three and a half centuries, people across the globe formed a single community through globalization.
  • 1450-1750 is the New "Early Modern" Era.
  • Christopher Columbus 1492: Americas
  • Vasco de Gama 1497-98: Africa
  • Colonization brought disease that natives did not build up pathogens too.
  • Crops and animals bounced around.
  • Military revolution put strains on rulers and societies, but in contrast the rulers wanted wealth from exploring new lands.
