settings, pro/antagonist, and conflict

The Conflict

Settings

The conflict is Man vs. Society

The story takes place in an large suburb in an unknown city in Australia, the city is most likely to be Sydney, Australia, since it is the hometown of the author.

Ed Kennedy is trying to find out who keeps sending him the cards while he has to do things around the suburbs either to help or hurt someone or something.

The Antagonist

The Protagonist

Bank Robber- At the beginning of the book, a bank robbery took place where Ed was, and the robbery was all a "test". The whole entire thing was supposed to see if Ed was different than many people.

Ed Kennedy- Ed Kennedy is a normal size person with short brown hair. he is a poor, under-age taxi cab driver that has a crush on his best friend, Audrey. Ed hates his life because he thinks it is to "normal" for being in the suburb. he has a dog that he talks to named "The Doorman".

The Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, and Resolution

Resolution

Exposition

The problem was solved after Ed realized that everyone can be a good person and that his dad was always trying to be good.

Everything is introduced right after the bank robbery and Ed gets a ace card in the mail containing 3 addresses

Falling Action

Rising Action

It occurs when Ed finally meets the bank robber after he gets out of prison and the bank robber tells him that it was all to test him and his father was the one that set it up so he could know if his son was a good person.

The rising action takes place after Ed gets his second card and realizes that it is a test.

Climax

The Climax comes in when Ed meets a man that he was driving home in his taxi and the man starts to tell him a little about what he was doing.

My opinion

Recommendation

I would recommend it to someone that really wants to help people and people that like mysteries.

Rating

I would give the book a 5 star.

It is so well-written and it makes you realize that you can be a good person, and since the author was so connected to the book, he made it such a well sounding book and easy to understand.

Changing

I would of change the ending to have made a little more understanding and a happy ending

Favorite Part

My favorite part was when he helped the two fighting brothers and making them understand that they really do need each other.

Worst Part

The worst part was when he was trying to find an address for such a long time that it grew boring to read about him searching through all kinds of books
