Flees to Switzerland

  • Voltaire was banned from Paris, so he fled to Geneva.
  • He bought a large house there.
  • The law in Geneva did not allow him to publish a play or any sort of drama performances.
  • Because of that he was forced to move to France, so he went to Ferney.
