How to Make a Chinese Warring States Period bronze sword

then use fine rocks and leathers to grind out the

edge.After completion of all of these steps above, we

should have a fine piece of bronze. swords were made

specifically for high ranking personnel or king, the

bladesmith will start working on little detail. Such as

inlaying of gemstones on it, carving the family logo or

owner's name on it as well by inlaying pure gold on to the

sword.

Forme a sword

Refine the bronze

Pour the bronze into the template that was made earlier. It will be appear a sword

shape item inside of that template, allow the product temputure drop until it is safe

to reach. This is how the body of a sword was formed

Mixing Tin, Lead, and copper together. When all three elements are together in one

big melting pot, the temputure has to be around 700~800℃ . The purpose in

doing this is to purify the bronze and melt all these elements as one.

This step need more attention while adding Tin into the material, the most

important part in casting the bronze product, it depends on how much Tin was

added into the copper during the melting process

Template makeing

The most important step is the "the creation of a template". Use figureline to create and carve the shape of a sword, when carving is done, bake the template and set asude for future production.
