The Author's name is Dianna Dorisi Winget. She is married and has three kids, she also wrote A Smidgen of Sky. Her favorite animal is a dog.Fiction is her favorite Gerenal.

The third Problem is that they are going to put Gunner down, the Solution is that Poppy trains him and he turns into a Police Dog.

I think that there are three Problem and Solution parts in this story the first Problem of the book was that a guy shot a lady at the gas station, the Solution was that they caught the bad guy.

Beggining-Poppy Parker's parents died when she was very little, her grandma had to take care of her. They had a lot of fun together until at the age of 11 her grandma had to go to a nursing home because she was not doing so well. Poppy had to stay at a children's center. Later she wanted to see her grandma but, her counciler, Miss Austin, would not let her. So, she decided to go by herself. Poppy went to a gas station to get a snack and the lady at the counter bought Poppy the snack. After that she left the gas station to sit down and eat, then she went back to and heard something. There was a gun fire and Poppy reliesed that the lady was shot! Luckily she pulled off the mask before getting shot and the guy came up to Poppy and asked for her name and she told him. The police came and brought Poppy to the police station to ask her questions. Trey was the one to ask her questions.

Middle-Trey let her stay in his mom's house to be safe. A day later Poppy wanted to see her Grandma So bad so she got up super early and went to the house that she a her grandma lived at. She got her bike and went to the Huckelberry home so she could see her grandma. When she was there Marti called her to see were she was and also she said that Trey was going to come and pick her up. So she said go bye to her grandma and waited outside. Finally Trey got there and he was very very mad. When he drove her back to the house he locked up her bike and she couldn't have it any more. The next day Marti brought Poppy to the Animal Shelter and Poppy saved a dog.

End- Then Poppy's Grandma died. While she was at the funeral she ran away and went to the park that her and her Grandma use to go to all of the time.When she went her friend Lizzie showed up and said that everyone was looking for her. Poppy said that she needed a break and Lizzie got it and they just sat their and talked. All of a sudden Poppy see's the guy they are looking for so she calls the cops and the pick him up and arrest him. The Poppy goes back to the center and after a couple of days she is adopted by Trey and his mom. Gunner gets to be a police dog

Summary

The second Problem is that Poppy's grandma dies, and the Solution is that Trey and Marti took her in.

Compare and Contrast to another book

Some ways that A Million Ways Home is Similiar to A line in the sand because they are both long. Both of the Authors are girls, there both about a girl, and the last way they are the same is they both have a hard life.

Some ways that they are different is A Line In the Sand is in the olden days and A Million ways home isn't. In a Million Ways home Poppy loses her parents and in A Line In the Sand the girl has both of her parents. A line in the Sand is about war and A Million Ways Home isn't about war. Both of the books are wrighten by different authors.

Poppy Parker- Is the Main Character in the story. She is a girl who witnessed a crime and loses her last family member.

Beth- She is Poppy Grandma she has a stoke and a few days later she dies.
