Growth Vs. Fixed Mindset
Some people have a growth mindset, while others have a fixed mindset. What does that mean? Well, those who have a growth mindset don't give up. They would rather re-do something than give up. But, if a person has a fixed mindset, they believe that they can't do better, that there is no room to improve. They just throw everything away, give up.
Don't have a fixed mindset, just remember you are awesome and you CAN do better.
How the Brain is Affected by Challenge
When you are faced with a challenge and your brain works at helping you with this challenge you are exercising it. Just like muscles your brain needs to be regularly exercised. If you don't challenge your brain it becomes unpracticed and doesn't function as well as it should. When you exercise your brain or face it with a challenge the neurons in your brain multiply and therefore helps you think and process things easier.

My dominate direction was West. It's really easy to work with me because I take everyone's opinion into consideration. I am also a go with the flow type of person. My weakest area would probably be oral communication. I am introverted, so I don't like being at the front of the class. I am going to improve on this by raising my hand more and talking to the class more.
The I means introverted or you could say we like being alone, it's how we recharge. For example, I prefer to be by myself rather than around a large group of people. The S stands for senses, I need to be told and showed how to do something, and I have to do it, too. The F stands for feeling. We care about what people think and how they feel. For instance, when I see someone that looks sad and is alone I go sit next to them and try to make them feel better. Finally, the P means perceiving, we try not to make too many plans and organization is at a minimum because we believe things can change and they do. In other words we go with the flow. I agree with this personality because we are caring, observant, and keep to ourselves instead of trying to be the center of attention.

Grit is important because it is the key to high achievement and maybe even success. Angela Duckworth thinks grit is a significant factor in college completion because it's very helpful in challenging situations, such as college. . So, this year I am going to raise my grit score by not giving up, even if I feel like I can't do something.
