* Artisans created the beautiful art of the Egyptians. This included tomb paintings, jewelry, stone carvings, and many more.

* When the Nile flooded it's banks, the peasants and farmers were instructed to help with the pharaohs massive building projects.

*The Ancient Egyptians believed that their social pyramid kept their civilization organized. At the top were pharaohs, government officials , and priests . In the middle was scribes, and artisans. At the bottom were peasants.

*Ancient Egypt depended on the Nile River for a steady food supply.

*The Nile irrigated the Egyptians crops so the peasants and farmers were able to make sure that the crops were maintained and made into food.

* The Egyptians created a kind of paper called papyrus out of a plant.

* Kush used iron weapons because they had many rich iron deposits and enough wood for charcoal.

* Egyptians made a language called Hieroglyphics. This language had over 700 characters.

* After Kush separated from Egypt and returned to it's African roots, they created a language called Meroitic based on their capitol Meroe.

* Religion in Ancient Egypt was a part of everybody's lives on every level of the social pyramid.

* the Egyptians were a polytheistic group. * Because the Egyptians believed that there was an after life, they embalmed the bodies of the wealthier people. (people that could afford it).

* The most important government officials were Viziers, then the Chief Treasurer, and the General of Armies.

* They all helped enforce laws made by the pharaoh.

* Pharaohs were also claimed to be gods.
