- Robert Watson-Watt invented the radar in 1935 which was found to be useful to locate airmen and later in the future help in WWII.
- In 1930 the analog computer was invented by Vannevar Bush. The analog computer was useful because it was used to control guns on a warship. Also the analog computer lead to the computers we are use to today.

- 1932: Polaroid photography is invented by Edwin Herbert Land.
- 1933: Frequency modulation, or the FM radio is invented by Edwin Howard Armstrong.
- 1934: The game of Monopoly is claimed to be invented by Charles Darrow.
- 1934: Percy Shaw invents cat eyes (road reflectors).
- 1935: Wallace Carothers and DuPont Labs invents nylon, a type of fabric.
- 1936: Colt revolver gets patented by Samuel Colt.
- 1937: Chester F. Carlson invents the photocopier.
- 1938: Nescafe (freeze-dried coffee) is invented.
