What animal symbolizes your method for dealing with conflict?
Owl
Write a description of your conflict management style.
I helped view the conflict, as a problem, and then solve the conflict.
I highly value both my own and other people's goals and relationships.
With God, all things are possible and all things can be solved.
Discuss three reasons why this method of dealing with conflict is negative or positive.
A. This is a “Think Win-Win” situation. Think win-win, People can seek mutual benefit in all human interactions. Principle-based behavior.
B. Achieving goals for both themselves and for others. Thinking of plans that helps benefit everyone.
C. Seeing conflicts for both solving them and to improve relationships. This also helps reduce both stress and tension as well.
Discussion Assignment
Created a Conflict
There is a conflict between a father and his teenage son, Cube. He wants to go with his friends on a weekend fishing trip with his friends and is behind 3 weeks behind on his Life Management Skills class on FLVS. Cube and his father have been at each other’s throats all month because the father will not let Cube go the trip for the weekend. He got really frustrated and didn't speak to his dad for about two weeks. It seems like every evening, if they are together in the same room, the same topic emerges and before they can resolve the conflict, one or the other storms off into another room and refuses to speak anymore on the subject, most of the time, Cube is the one who mostly storms to his room. It is now Thursday, the day before the fishing trip, is approaching very quickly and Cube feels that he needs to lecture about the conflict, in a way that he can find the resolution with his father. Besides, Cube needs to give his friends an answer before Friday night, to see if he can go nor not. The scenery takes place in their backyard patio, on a Thursday evening, directly after they finished dinner. The father is now “calming down” while Cube is ready to “talk about it”.

The scenery takes place in their backyard patio, on a late Thursday evening, directly after they finished dinner. The father is now “calming down” while Cube is ready to “talk about it”.
