Mihaela Banek Zorica mbanek@ffzg.hr It took a lot of hard work cry for help!!! Two young knights i.e. assistant professors CAN WE DO IT!? YES WE CAN!!!! Can we do it? Yes we can! We gathered our knights at the round table Grand workshop there are 3 - educational,
- creating communities,
- defining suiable
bottom-up strategies Old school library libraries grew up
LIS studies emerged
advancemet of ICT rushed to rescue!!!! viewpoints of different potential stakeholders incorporated into an IL strategy Everyone arrived 1. EDUCATIONAL:
insight into the field of information literacy;
implementation into the curriculum
Practical examples: standards, performance indicators,
learning outcomes, the creation of a successful IL programs... 2.Building up communities:
- closer connection between key elements of successful educational process.
-communication between principals and school librarians and their insight in current obstacles and possible solution
-transfer the idea and understanding of inclusion of the information literacy into everyday educational practice. 3. Defining bottom-up strategies from practitioners’ viewpoint:
- Major obstacles to IL elicited
- possible solutions to obstacles proposed.
