Use personal anecdotes or case studies to illustrate points, weaving emotional connections that resonate with your audience and aid in memory retention of key messages. Incorporating relevant data strengthens your arguments and adds credibility. Utilize visuals like charts and graphs to present complex information clearly, ensuring that statistics are contextualized and connected directly to your overall narrative. Understanding Your Audience Setting Clear Objectives Visual Hierarchy Image Usage Creating Engaging Headlines Knowing your audience is crucial for tailoring your message effectively. Factors such as demographics, interests, and expertise level should inform the presentation's content and style for maximum impact. Defining clear objectives is essential for any presentation. Objectives guide the content and keep both the presenter and audience focused on the intended outcomes, ensuring effective communication. Visual hierarchy prioritizes information to guide the audience's focus. By varying font size, weight, and color, key points are emphasized, allowing for quicker understanding of the presented material. Images should complement the content, not overwhelm it. Transcript: Pricing Project Isabella Villalobos Group 1- Pricing Policies Demand Oriented- Champion Pullover Hoodie One Price policy- A can of Coke Champion clothing started off as a moderately priced brand launched from Walmart but recently in 2017 they gained demand and popularity from young adults so they inflated their price. This induced the supply and demand rule, and therefore raised its prices from roughly 20 to 60 or more. Walmart price Pacsun (high price oriented store) A can of coke essentially costs the same price in any store you go into; whether it is a gas station, a Walmart, or target. A can is 99 cents each because that is what Coke established as its price in the U.S and is not negotiated due to its already low price. Group 2- Pricing and Product Life Penetration Pricing- Galaxy S10 Skimming Prices- Best Buy DVD The DVD player from Best Buy originally was priced at $600 in 97, but over the years it has skimmed down prices hoping it would increase sales because of the fact that it was priced as a luxury item and now has become something extremely affordable. A Galaxy S10 at Best Buy is similar to Apples Iphone 10, and the S10 costs 100 dollars cheaper than most Apple phones, so they hope customers will steer towards them because of their low price compared to its competitors. Optional Product- St. Patrick Day Clothing Group 3- Product Mix Strategies Captive Product- Razor Blades Bundle Pricing- Dyson Blow Out Kit At Walmart in the Kids Section there is St. Patrick Day themed clothing and there is a matching shirt and skirt paired together but not priced in as a bundle. The shirt is $4.88 and the skirt is 12.97. Since they are placed on top of each other, it influences the customer to buy both products. This luxury Dyson blow-out kit would have an original value of $465 if each product was purchased separately, but if the product is bought in a kit, the consumer virtually saves $66. Furthermore this makes the consumer buy more of a product to complete a look. Gillette razor replacements are a few dollars more expensive than the blade because retailers know consumers will go through blades faster rather than the handle. If a higher price is embedded on the product that has the most demand, the company will have more of a profit due to the customer demand for that. Group 4- Segmented Pricing Strategies Buyer Identification- AMC ticket fares Time of Purchase- Dunkin Donuts Coffee Happy Hour 3D movie ticket prices at AMC range in prices determining the identification of the prices. This is not in a discriminatory age, but rather age discounts or if one has served for the country. These characteristics are used so buyers can sell to them. At Dunkin they offer a dollar coffee from the time period of 3-6, which incentivises customers to buy another coffe due to the higher coffee demand in the morning. This daily time discount is a great example on how more demand can be added onto the product even during the times of low peak of the product. Group 5- Psychological Pricing Prestige Pricing- Xelsis Espresso Machine Multiple Unit Pricing- Lays Chip Unit Pricing The objective of Xelsis super automatic espresso machine is to show premium quality with its touchscreen and luxurious features that compisate for the ridiculously high price. Coffee lovers will think of this as top-knotch and the best, which therefore makes the product more quality oriented and factoring out the price. Lays chips offers a tiny bag from selected chips for a deal of 2 for 98 cents. This allows the customer to buy more of one thing thinking they get a deal, but theres no deal at all, they are just buying more to fulfill the price of the deal. You buy more of a unit for a deal. Group 6- Promotional Pricing Rebates and Coupons- Walgreens reward system Loss Leader- Video Game Controller Group 6- Promotional Pricing Walgreens has a point oriented reward system that can redeem you cash off your next purchase. I purchased air heads (3.79), doritos (1.89), a birthday card (.99), and two gatorades (3.89). This got me 3070 points which means i can get 3 dollars off my next purchase with my rewards account that gives me coupons. Many stores sell off-brand or cheaper produced prototypes of the same product. In this case the $20 controller company Logitech is hoping their customers are more price oriented and choose them over the more expensive consoles. This in some cases steers competition and demand from higher priced products Group 7- Discounts & Allowances Quantity Discount- Marinara Sauce Seasonal Discount- Reeces for Easter On the tag of the marinara sauce it says buy two and get the second one 75 cents off. Evidently buying more with this deal means you are getting it for a lower price. Also if you get 4 jars you end up saving $1.50 from the 75 cent saving of each second jar purchased. A bag of Reeses peanut butter cups are generally 5 dollars per pack no matter the edition (minis or regular). The easter edition is offering a $2.98 deal which
