Year: 1994 * Person: Ken Kutaragi & Norio Ohga

While working in Sony’s sound labs Ken bought his daughter a Nintendo console and found their sound quality was poor. So he started creating a better product with the intention of selling it to Nintendo.

When his superiors found out he was nearly fired but the then CEO, Mr Ohga, saw an OPPORTUNITY and...

For 5 years Spencer failed in promoting his new pressure sensitive adhesive
UNTIL
Art Fry added it to the scrap yelllow paper he used for notes that was abundant in the office to help put order to his messy desk

just like an entrepreneur:
must be creative and have great ideas
must have the initiative and determination to bring an idea to life
doesn't need to take the financial risk of starting a business

However, after he completed the first ever CD-ROM games console, Nintendo decided they no longer wanted his innovative device.
