And Penny is a great example of that!
Here's a few activities she used that I thought worked great
A clever demo of "Poll Anywhere"
teachers vote using their cell phones
Reciprocal teaching: We all have so much to learn from each other!
Penny asks the group to tally their years in education
Total: Well over 1200 years
experience in Education in the Room
Penny reminds us about tapping into the talent in your classroom. "Think of all the skills and knowledge your students bring ... so why are you lecturing?"
Penny did a terrific job of modeling all she promoted - look at the reaction at door
Penny asked the audience to write one idea they promise to use in 1 month. "Put in self-addressed envelope and I'll mail it to you." .. and I'll bet she does!
