For the Aboriginal Australians their family helps them to put their tooth inside the shoot of a pandanus plant so that when the pandanus grows into a tree, their tooth will grow too. They serve plum pudding on Christmas with a coin, a ring, or a thimble inside and whoever finds the item will have wealth, marriage or spinsterhood in the next year.
Most school days begin at about 9:00 a.m. and run until 3:00 or 3:30, Monday through Friday. Children are required to attend school in Australia until age 15. Children love to pass their free time outside and play sports, specially swimming since most of the population lives in the coast.

The mid-19th century saw the beginning of government policies to emancipate convicts and assist the immigration of free persons. The discovery of gold in 1851 led to increased population, wealth, and trade."
