Transcript of Cat eye vs. Human eye

What is the difference? Cat Eye vs. Human Eye Cat Iris In very bright light, cat's iris will close and become very narrow slit-like iris. By reducing the amount of light entering the eye on the retina. Cat's Eye Big cats have pupils that contract to a round point. The tapetum and other mechanisms give the cat a minimum light detection up to seven times lower than that of humans. Cat's visual field Many cats have a estimated visual field 200° compare to 180° human. Cat eye Cat eye like many other animals has tapetum lucidum, which is a reflective layer behind the retina that sends light to the retina back to the eye. This layer improves the ability to see in the dark. While this happens, it decreases the capability of the visual acuity, which means you can't see smaller things in a given distance. Field of view Like most predators, their eyes face forward. Field of view is mostly depend on the placement of the eyes but it can also be related to the eyes construction.Cats have a central band known as the visual streak, instead of the fovea. Colors Cats can tell the difference between the color red, blue and yellow. As well as red and green. They distinguish blues and violets better than red near the spectrum. Does cat blink? Cats doesn't need to blink their eyes on a regular basis to keep their eyes wet. It is an advantage for cats when hunting. Although cats don't blink, they "squint" their eyes to communicate with the surrounding cats and humans Cats eye color Cats have a wide variation of eye color, the most typical colors are gold, green and orange. Blue are usually related to the Siamese breed but it also appears in white cats and kittens. The rumors of white cats with blue eyes are all deaf is wrong but they do have a slightly higher chances of having genetic deafness than white cats with other eye color. White cats with one blue eye and one other colored eye are called the "odd eye".They may be deaf on the same side of the blue eye. Odd eye cat White cat with blue eyes Human eye Human eye is a organ that gives us the sense of sight. It allows us to observe and learn more about the surrounding world that has to do with the other four senses. Bibliography Cat:
