THEREFORE...
One way or another all your answers should refer back to the purpose
PURPOSE
What you are reading MUST have a purpose
e.g. 
to persuade you e.g.
get you to do somehting
get you to buy something
get you to feel a certain way
to inform you
to amuse you

You will be asked about things like:
the facts 
the opinons
the arguments
the language
the presentation
Key Question to ask yourself
How does this fact, opinion,
argument, language, presentation
help the writer achieve the purpose?
In other words, these things aren't there for the sake of it. The writer put them there for a reason....
and that reason is to support the purpose.
