Why I chose this career

I chose to become a pediatrician, because ever since I was a little girl I have been interested in being a doctor for children. I am very interested in this type of career because I love children and being able to manage the health of a child is a huge blessing. I would like to be a pediatrician to diagnose and treat children with illnesses.

Education need

Skills,Talents,and experience

The education needed first is to take basic sciences in high school. For example you can take biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, algebra, and calculus. After high school you will need 4 years of undergraduate college courses. Then you will need 4 years of Medical School. Three more years of Residency training is another way to receive the appropriate training needed. It will take a person approximately 11 years to receive the education/training.

To be a pediatrician it is important to be able to communicate with children and adults. Being a good listener is a good skill to have to be a pediatrician because you need to be able to listen and understand what the child and parent are saying. Also, being well organized is a helpful talent to go into this particular career due to paperwork, phone calls, and office time spent reviewing cases and lab results.
