  • 00:02 - 00:05

Good morning Mr Volpe toe mr jones and thank you

  • 00:05 - 00:07

for taking the time to meet with me this morning.

  • 00:07 - 00:10

I've actually been looking quite forward to this encounter

  • 00:10 - 00:12

so we can get the ground running together.

  • 00:12 - 00:17

Now of course we've heard of your previous a ease retirement and so I felt

  • 00:17 - 00:21

it a great deal for us to go over all aspects of the business relationship.

  • 00:21 - 00:26

Of course the good and the bad with greater focus on the price increased letter

  • 00:26 - 00:31

that you recently received from a liquid so that we may continue a long and

  • 00:31 - 00:34

enjoyable tradition in supplying gas and welding

  • 00:34 - 00:38

consumables with long john pero enterprises of course

  • 00:38 - 00:41

in the hope of achieving a stable and

  • 00:41 - 00:45

satisfactory price increased formula that takes into account

  • 00:45 - 00:49

the relevant parameters for both our businesses.

  • 00:51 - 00:53

So moving on to the next slide,

  • 00:53 - 00:57

so I'd like to start off with a couple of statistics that are relevant

  • 00:57 - 01:03

to our discussion and were the main focus in selecting this year's price increase.

  • 01:03 - 01:07

Okay, so starting with the inflation graph on the left,

  • 01:07 - 01:11

Inflation has risen to just under 4% in 2021,

  • 01:11 - 01:17

beating analysts predictions slightly to reach its fastest clip in over 18 years

  • 01:17 - 01:20

in 2019, inflation was just under 2%.

  • 01:21 - 01:24

And I think you can agree that presenting a price increase similar to

  • 01:24 - 01:29

that year is just not good business and it's important that we understand and

  • 01:29 - 01:33

account for the rise sharp increase in the cost of raw materials and

  • 01:33 - 01:38

steel is just much higher which has affected many industries across the globe.

  • 01:38 - 01:40

So switching over to the graph on the right,

  • 01:40 - 01:47

You can see that steel prices have risen over 200% from 2019 to 2021 where a

  • 01:47 - 01:54

metric ton was sitting at around $650 and now trading at around 1300 per metric ton.

  • 02:01 - 02:06

So now in the next slide I want to discuss some new enhancements. A. L. C.

  • 02:06 - 02:08

Has done this past year to increase customer

  • 02:08 - 02:13

satisfaction and engagement to begin the rollout and the

  • 02:13 - 02:16

full launch of be connected has received very good

  • 02:16 - 02:19

feedback from similar sized clients such as yourself.

  • 02:19 - 02:21

And I want to make sure that you are benefiting from all

  • 02:21 - 02:24

the digital solutions ehrlich it has brought forth with be connected.

  • 02:24 - 02:26

    You can place orders,

  • 02:26 - 02:29

you can generate invoices and you can get more familiar with our

  • 02:29 - 02:33

full product line if you were to expand into new industries and businesses

  • 02:33 - 02:36

and there is a national team that is available to guide

  • 02:36 - 02:39

you through the sign up and training for all your staff.

  • 02:40 - 02:41

    Yes,

  • 02:43 - 02:45

this will save time on both sides and I

  • 02:45 - 02:49

personally really enjoy the simplicity of the platform.

  • 02:50 - 02:54

So the second point, their supply security and price increase. Formula

  • 02:55 - 02:59

entering into a supplier agreement has more benefits than just price.

  • 02:59 - 03:03

It means you are being placed higher on the pecking order when supply chains are

  • 03:03 - 03:06

under stress and this has proven to

  • 03:06 - 03:08

be an exceptional advantage during this pandemic.

  • 03:09 - 03:13

The price increased Formula should take into account factors that could have a

  • 03:13 - 03:17

large impact on the business line and operating income for both sides.

  • 03:17 - 03:20

This is something that Mr jones and I can discuss

  • 03:20 - 03:23

in more detail over the next week or so so

  • 03:23 - 03:25

that we can narrow down what factors we want to

  • 03:25 - 03:29

affect the value of each year's of each upcoming years.

  • 03:29 - 03:30

    Price increase

  • 03:32 - 03:35

and lastly early kid Canada has established a

  • 03:35 - 03:38

very creative and diverse team that is ready at

  • 03:38 - 03:41

any moment's notice to support you and your staff

  • 03:41 - 03:43

on any technical issues that you might have,

  • 03:43 - 03:45

Maybe new projects and processes that you

  • 03:45 - 03:48

might be interested in bringing to market.

  • 03:48 - 03:49

    We also have

  • 03:50 - 03:51

    experts.

  • 03:51 - 03:54

We can bring in to assess your welding procedures and

  • 03:54 - 03:58

give an informative review and potentially savings wherever possible.

  • 03:58 - 03:59

    And don't worry,

  • 03:59 - 04:01

I will be supplying you with a full contact list

  • 04:01 - 04:04

of all the different departments that we have discussed today.

  • 04:05 - 04:09

So moving on to the last slide today,

  • 04:09 - 04:13

end summary Land Don Pedro Enterprises can achieve cost

  • 04:13 - 04:17

stability by way of a product supply agreement whereby

  • 04:17 - 04:20

factors that can greatly affect this value are stated

  • 04:20 - 04:23

and accounted for in a mutually agreed upon formula.

  • 04:23 - 04:27

So over the next few weeks we will set up a meeting with the be connected team,

  • 04:27 - 04:31

myself and anyone on your staff you feel would be interested in attending this

  • 04:31 - 04:35

training so that they can reap the rewards of the digital platform right away.

  • 04:35 - 04:37

I will also schedule a separate meeting

  • 04:37 - 04:40

to introduce the technical experts to your staff

  • 04:40 - 04:42

and a welding specialist to come in and

  • 04:42 - 04:45

evaluate your welding requirements free of charge,

  • 04:45 - 04:46

    of course.

  • 04:46 - 04:47

    And furthermore,

  • 04:47 - 04:49

Mr jones and I will meet privately to

  • 04:49 - 04:52

study the parameters regarding the price increased formula.

  • 04:53 - 04:57

I would also greatly appreciate your feedback and

  • 04:57 - 04:59

everything we have presented you with this morning,

  • 04:59 - 05:03

and I look forward to getting things underway and to learn more about

  • 05:03 - 05:06

your business and finding ways to help you even more down the road.

  • 05:07 - 05:10

Thank you so much again for making the time this morning to meet with me.
