Hello, Mr Berg.
- 00:01 - 00:02
This is my Prezi presentation.
- 00:03 - 00:08
Skybridge owns, of course, on the Chinese social credit system.
- 00:09 - 00:11
And like how it's really affecting them and obviously, like
- 00:11 - 00:13
the positive negatives and what I think about it.
- 00:14 - 00:15
So we're gonna get started.
- 00:16 - 00:18
Um, are called the Chinese credit.
- 00:20 - 00:22
Okay, So the Chinese credit system, right as itself.
- 00:23 - 00:25
It uses a digital camera system that gives citizens a
- 00:25 - 00:30
credit score, which is basically, like not not a credit
- 00:30 - 00:32
score. I mean, like, I still like a social credit
- 00:32 - 00:35
score, which is basically like like an overall number slash
- 00:35 - 00:38
rating of like what they do in society and basically,
- 00:38 - 00:41
like judges them based on, like, their actions in real
- 00:41 - 00:42
world time.
- 00:44 - 00:45
So for this, the first thing I want to talk
- 00:45 - 00:50
about technology in China, Um, technology in China, like, advanced
- 00:51 - 00:54
very fast and literally like within, like, a few years
- 00:55 - 00:56
or so, Like they were, like, very poor of a
- 00:56 - 00:59
country, but was able to lift themselves Ah, lot higher
- 00:59 - 01:02
with a lot of technological advancements in just, uh, trade
- 01:03 - 01:04
values and stuff like that enabled us to raise it.
- 01:05 - 01:06
Well, it's not a short matter of time.
- 01:06 - 01:08
They just were able to advance their technology really passed
- 01:09 - 01:10
a lot of things, but along with that, they came
- 01:11 - 01:12
up with new ideas, such as like the credit system
- 01:13 - 01:16
that is odd to some other countries but seems to
- 01:16 - 01:17
work in.
- 01:17 - 01:21
There's So obviously the two categories we're talking is what
- 01:21 - 01:23
really is the social credit system.
- 01:23 - 01:26
Like what it is, the positives and the negatives, of
- 01:26 - 01:33
course. So first off, if we're going to go on
- 01:33 - 01:39
the virtual credit system, it's pretty much, uh, is based
- 01:40 - 01:44
on video surveillance taken with, like, good facial recognition software
- 01:45 - 01:50
and technology through China's cameras that basically just like identifies,
- 01:51 - 01:55
like the actions they're doing with with, like, advanced technology
- 01:55 - 02:00
and software through, like either emotions or, like tells, as
- 02:00 - 02:02
they call it, like on the outside, that show different
- 02:02 - 02:03
things about a person.
- 02:04 - 02:06
And it just uses that in the central to the
- 02:06 - 02:06
audience stuff.
- 02:06 - 02:09
So, like identify certain things that are either different then
- 02:10 - 02:13
what most people do or either like something that's like
- 02:13 - 02:15
bad compared to like society laws.
- 02:16 - 02:18
That way they can, like flag it or as they
- 02:18 - 02:20
call it, Uh, yeah, I think like flag it, which
- 02:20 - 02:22
is kind of like being aware of it and then
- 02:22 - 02:26
give notifications to other things of certain things would either
- 02:26 - 02:28
get authorities involved or whatnot.
- 02:32 - 02:34
Next we go to the positives.
- 02:35 - 02:38
So the good outcomes from the program is one, uh,
- 02:39 - 02:40
is it building more trustworthy society?
- 02:41 - 02:42
Definitely. Within China.
- 02:42 - 02:44
It was needed more because they used to be very
- 02:45 - 02:48
untrustworthy, since their credit system was kind of behind in
- 02:48 - 02:48
the first place.
- 02:49 - 02:50
So people were able to take out loans and such
- 02:51 - 02:52
to do frauds and with fake stuff.
- 02:52 - 02:54
And they had a big problem with fake merchandise and
- 02:54 - 02:54
of sorts.
- 02:55 - 02:57
So now this makes them build a more trustworthy society
- 02:57 - 03:02
that the camera really like, can identify and tell, like
- 03:03 - 03:05
when people I guess they're sort of lying, but like
- 03:05 - 03:08
doing like, um, illegal stuff that's like not really start
- 03:08 - 03:09
where they actually know the truth because you can't really
- 03:10 - 03:10
lie to a camera.
- 03:11 - 03:14
Um, it also makes citizens more aware of their actions,
- 03:14 - 03:16
which is a good thing because it's kind of helping
- 03:16 - 03:19
people like do more good in society now that they
- 03:19 - 03:20
know that that's the thing.
- 03:20 - 03:22
That way they always have, like something in the back
- 03:22 - 03:23
of their mind to tell them.
- 03:23 - 03:23
Well, let's do this.
- 03:24 - 03:26
Let's do that so that, like good things can in
- 03:26 - 03:28
turn happened in that way there, create their social credit,
- 03:28 - 03:28
stays up.
- 03:30 - 03:32
So basically, because if you don't want to get flagged
- 03:32 - 03:35
or they call it getting blacklisted that way you lose
- 03:35 - 03:36
any privileges in society.
- 03:36 - 03:40
Like they say, you can't travel to certain places using
- 03:40 - 03:42
like, trains and stuff, and you can't buy certain things.
- 03:42 - 03:44
So you just wanna make sure that like you don't
- 03:44 - 03:47
do anything wrong because watching at all times that makes
- 03:47 - 03:49
you, like, even get in that situation in the first
- 03:50 - 03:55
place. Now I go to my next one.
- 03:56 - 03:58
The bad effects of it on society would have to
- 03:59 - 04:03
be that some minor offenses, like maybe jaywalking or parking
- 04:03 - 04:06
tickets or stuff like that are taking more seriously because
- 04:06 - 04:08
in the camera's eyes, they don't use like the same
- 04:08 - 04:09
judgment that a human does about motion.
- 04:10 - 04:12
So just anything you do out of place is like
- 04:12 - 04:14
is brought up to another level that could get you
- 04:14 - 04:17
blacklisted faster and then also Ah, lot of people want
- 04:18 - 04:20
to get blacklisted, like with the leverages, the privileges they
- 04:21 - 04:23
lose sometimes don't get out of the hole was tend
- 04:23 - 04:25
to, like ruin people's lives because, like if you get
- 04:25 - 04:27
blacklisted at the wrong time to do something like if
- 04:27 - 04:28
you need to go somewhere for a business trip or
- 04:29 - 04:31
something, then it really just, like, puts a lot on
- 04:31 - 04:33
hold that you underneath of doing and if you couldn't
- 04:33 - 04:35
do it at the time, kind of just messes up
- 04:35 - 04:37
like your money flowing now, like the systems of such.
- 04:38 - 04:39
And it was also in an article.
- 04:40 - 04:43
I'd rather it was saying that the in the article
- 04:44 - 04:48
Chinese, uh, the truth about the Chinese social social credit
- 04:48 - 04:50
system that a lot of people don't make it off
- 04:50 - 04:52
the blacklist because once I get off there, the other
- 04:52 - 04:54
try to avoid to do certain things and stay illegal,
- 04:54 - 04:56
or it just takes so long to try to do
- 04:56 - 04:57
what they had to do in the first place.
- 04:58 - 05:01
So it's lucky, like a place where you go kind
- 05:01 - 05:02
of slows you down.
- 05:04 - 05:05
So they ended off personally.
- 05:05 - 05:09
What I think about this system would have to be
- 05:10 - 05:11
that I think it's good toe.
- 05:11 - 05:13
Make sure people are monitored that way.
- 05:13 - 05:15
They're not like doing anything illegal of this sorts, but
- 05:15 - 05:17
I think the invasion of privacy is a bit excessive.
- 05:18 - 05:21
That literally everything you do is like judged and put
- 05:21 - 05:24
into a computer based system that could really come back
- 05:24 - 05:27
toe either, Like, do good or haunt you in certain
- 05:27 - 05:29
ways. Because, like there are certain times like maybe you
- 05:29 - 05:31
were like route to, ah person that you just didn't
- 05:31 - 05:34
like, but honestly, overall, like you're a good person.
- 05:35 - 05:36
But maybe that one thing could affect your credit score
- 05:37 - 05:37
more than the others.
- 05:37 - 05:39
So and you can really know what that was like
- 05:40 - 05:40
from your standpoint.
- 05:41 - 05:42
So I just think overall, it's not the best.
- 05:43 - 05:46
But thank you for listening to my presentation and, uh,
- 05:47 - 05:48
this Harry Jones.
- 05:48 - 05:50
And I hope you get a good understanding of the
- 05:51 - 05:55
Chinese credit Social Chinese social credit system Score.
- 05:56 - 05:56
See you later, Mr Bird.
