of trying and practicing our mindfulness techniques.

We've done looking at are mindful jar.

We've tried focusing on colors

and we've also tried some muscle relaxation

now for today's mindfulness activity to get us centered,

to get us into the present moment to get our brain ready

to focus on one single thing

by being mindful.

Let's practice with some sounds.

So when I play sounds,

I would like you to close your eyes if you feel comfortable
- 00:46 - 00:48
and just focus on the sounds that you hear
- 00:49 - 00:51
and try to imagine
- 00:51 - 00:55
being in that place of where you hear those sounds,
- 00:56 - 00:59
you hear lots of different sounds that remind you of certain things.

So go ahead and close your eyes now

put yourself in a comfortable position.

For example, sitting in your chair,

your hands to your side,

your feet on the ground if they reach if not, that's okay.

I'm trying to relax your body

and listen to the following sounds.

Are you able to focus on the noise?

Focusing on those sounds really

made me feel like I was in a forest

kind of like maybe on the side of the road

because I heard a car passed by

sounds like there was a river next to me,
- 02:39 - 02:41
definitely an owl.
- 02:42 - 02:45
So focusing on those sounds really took me into a

place and made my brain worked so hard to listen to
- 02:49 - 02:51
every noise that I was listening on the sounds
- 02:52 - 02:54
and tuning everything else out.

And that's a part of mindfulness.

So let's move on to our affirmations.

Boys and girls, you have the power to create your own reality.

You have choice, right?

And the more you say these affirmations, the more they become true for you.
