Hello, girls, and welcome Thio, Week five, which will be
- 00:04 - 00:08
the last week of our documentary making next week for
- 00:08 - 00:11
the creative curriculum Afternoon, we're going to be having a
- 00:11 - 00:12
bit of a premier.
- 00:13 - 00:16
We're going toe watch all the fantastic documentaries you've been
- 00:16 - 00:19
making. So this week we're putting on our final touches
- 00:19 - 00:21
and submitting them into may.
- 00:22 - 00:26
So when you are finishing your documentary, the only things
- 00:27 - 00:29
that you must have that you need to have in
- 00:29 - 00:31
all of your documentaries are these two things you need
- 00:31 - 00:34
to have video footage that's relevant to what you are
- 00:34 - 00:35
talking about.
- 00:36 - 00:37
So what I mean by that relevance is that if
- 00:38 - 00:41
you've got video of animals, then your video would be
- 00:41 - 00:44
talking about the wildlife or the creatures that live there,
- 00:44 - 00:46
or the different habitats that a part of that river.
- 00:47 - 00:49
If you have a video of mountains, then you would
- 00:49 - 00:51
be talking about the source of a river.
- 00:51 - 00:53
So that's the thing that I'm really looking for.
- 00:53 - 00:56
Is is the video footage that you have chosen matching
- 00:57 - 00:59
and relevant to what you are talking about in the
- 00:59 - 01:02
voiceover. The other thing that you must have is an
- 01:03 - 01:06
opening title or some text that introduces the name of
- 01:06 - 01:08
your documentary and the editor, which is you.
- 01:08 - 01:10
So they tell you about the title of your documentary
- 01:11 - 01:12
and your own name at the beginning.
- 01:13 - 01:15
Now we can look at things that you might have.
- 01:16 - 01:18
So these are all options for things that you could
- 01:18 - 01:19
have in your documentary.
- 01:20 - 01:22
Some girls have started experimenting with having music in the
- 01:22 - 01:24
background. You could add some transitions.
- 01:25 - 01:28
You could have your own voiceover, which I know a
- 01:28 - 01:29
few girls have tried to do.
- 01:29 - 01:32
Or you could have a A I voiceover, You could
- 01:32 - 01:35
have text or subtitles throughout the whole documentary, not just
- 01:35 - 01:35
the beginning.
- 01:36 - 01:38
You could even video yourself like I have video of
- 01:38 - 01:41
myself now eso you could be in your documentary talking
- 01:42 - 01:43
about the river that you have bean researching.
- 01:44 - 01:46
So these are things that you could have in there,
- 01:47 - 01:50
and it could be anywhere from two minutes to five
- 01:51 - 01:53
minutes. If it was more than five minutes, that would
- 01:53 - 01:53
be really amazing.
- 01:54 - 01:57
But I'm not expecting a certain amount of time and
- 01:58 - 02:00
these sort of things that could be in there.
- 02:00 - 02:02
If you want to sort of extend yourself, get creative
- 02:03 - 02:04
looking different things that are available.
- 02:05 - 02:07
So it is your last week working on it, girls,
- 02:07 - 02:09
Next week we're going to be watching them.
- 02:10 - 02:12
So make sure that you are exporting it and sharing
- 02:12 - 02:13
it with me.
- 02:13 - 02:16
And if you could rename it as you know, final
- 02:17 - 02:19
copy, then that would make sure that I know that
- 02:19 - 02:21
it is ready to go, that it is all finished.
- 02:21 - 02:24
So that is your task this week, girls, and I
- 02:24 - 02:25
can't wait to see what you come up with.
