Hi there.
- 00:02 - 00:04
My name is false rumors and in this video I
- 00:04 - 00:07
will be introducing processes having to you.
- 00:09 - 00:11
So now what is process designed?
- 00:12 - 00:14
According to me, I said this according to me, because
- 00:15 - 00:17
purses on can be applied in different ways.
- 00:18 - 00:19
So this video is all about the way that I
- 00:20 - 00:22
see it and I like to put it to practice.
- 00:23 - 00:26
So person to me is a process based approach.
- 00:27 - 00:31
This contrary to a trip more traditional problem solution approach
- 00:33 - 00:35
where you usually see the problem solution approach.
- 00:36 - 00:39
You have the challenge and people start to find a
- 00:39 - 00:40
solution for it.
- 00:40 - 00:43
But processes on your focus more on the way towards
- 00:43 - 00:43
the solution.
- 00:44 - 00:47
So you work together with different people without really having
- 00:48 - 00:51
the angle completely clear at the start.
- 00:51 - 00:55
So throughout the way, you will eventually find the end
- 00:56 - 00:57
goal and maybe even more things.
- 00:58 - 01:01
Eso I believe that using protest zone is a more
- 01:01 - 01:06
enduring and lasting way off dealing with challenges s 02
- 01:07 - 01:08
very important things.
- 01:10 - 01:12
Personally, for me within pros design is that you have
- 01:12 - 01:15
to be able to work together, so it's not going
- 01:15 - 01:19
to be me helping you solve a challenge No, it's
- 01:19 - 01:22
going to be me and you together with other people
- 01:22 - 01:29
from the organization, perhaps working together to eventually deal with
- 01:29 - 01:31
the challenge and find the best fitting solution for it.
- 01:32 - 01:35
So in order to do this, I ask trust and
- 01:35 - 01:41
time. These are too valuable aspect of it trust, because
- 01:42 - 01:44
I am going to have a different approach.
- 01:45 - 01:50
So it might seem or striking in the beginning on
- 01:51 - 01:53
dhe time, because it is probably going to be more
- 01:54 - 01:56
time consuming because we're going to dive in a little
- 01:56 - 01:59
bit deeper than you usually would with a traditional problem
- 01:59 - 02:00
based approach.
- 02:02 - 02:05
So before I ask you to have this trust and
- 02:05 - 02:07
faith in me, let me tell you something about me
- 02:08 - 02:08
as a person.
- 02:09 - 02:12
So who, my, according to myself, I'm a curious person,
- 02:12 - 02:13
honest and trustworthy.
- 02:14 - 02:16
So I'm curious because I always want to know exactly
- 02:16 - 02:17
what's happening in the organization.
- 02:18 - 02:22
So to find out what people tell you, how people
- 02:22 - 02:25
see different things, how people perceive things, so I'm going
- 02:25 - 02:27
to have conversations about this.
- 02:27 - 02:29
I'm going to find this out because I believe that
- 02:29 - 02:32
it's off added value for every challenge within a company
- 02:33 - 02:36
or organization I'm an honest person.
- 02:36 - 02:38
I value this very much, and I asked this back
- 02:39 - 02:39
from other people as well.
- 02:40 - 02:42
To be honest with meat so month and you can
- 02:42 - 02:44
expect from me is that I'm going to be open
- 02:45 - 02:47
and going to communicate you exactly what I feel.
- 02:48 - 02:50
This might not always be easy because it can be
- 02:51 - 02:53
a little bit hardest fell, but at least I'm always
- 02:53 - 02:53
going to be honest.
- 02:54 - 02:56
So that's something that you can rely on.
- 02:57 - 02:58
Also, I'm trustworthy.
- 02:58 - 03:02
I you can tell me your deepest, darkest secrets, Let's
- 03:03 - 03:04
say and I will keep them to myself.
- 03:04 - 03:13
So the company's how companies issues that might emerge in
- 03:13 - 03:13
the challenge.
- 03:14 - 03:16
I will not put them on the streets.
- 03:18 - 03:19
So this is how I see myself.
- 03:21 - 03:24
I think it's also important to show you hear what
- 03:25 - 03:28
others think off me, who other people who were to
- 03:29 - 03:32
get whoever together with so other people say that I'm
- 03:32 - 03:35
empathic and that's for a leader and I'm authentic, and
- 03:36 - 03:40
I do see myself in all these characteristics.
- 03:41 - 03:43
So yeah, these are things that I'm going to bring
- 03:44 - 03:46
towards inside your company when we work together.
- 03:48 - 03:50
So all this is, um, interesting about me.
- 03:51 - 03:52
But now what have I actually done already?
- 03:53 - 03:55
So let's talk a little bit about your experiences that
- 03:56 - 04:01
I created throughout the years within process design.
- 04:03 - 04:05
So they're all a little bit different, so I'm going
- 04:05 - 04:07
to start with surgery, which is the longest process.
- 04:08 - 04:12
I've been enforced with, um, surprise a care facility and
- 04:13 - 04:19
throughout almost a year time, we've helped them to bring
- 04:20 - 04:23
their new way off, working to spread it throughout the
- 04:23 - 04:25
region instead of only surplus.
- 04:25 - 04:30
So this has been a very long project involving many
- 04:30 - 04:31
different stakeholders.
- 04:31 - 04:36
But having super areas my clients personally, has been a
- 04:37 - 04:41
huge rollercoaster off experiences, but eventually very valuable, and also
- 04:42 - 04:45
for me, as a process designer, it gave much inside
- 04:45 - 04:48
off how people can work together from different organizations.
- 04:49 - 04:51
So it was very insightful for me.
- 04:52 - 04:55
So continuing to break for which is an initiative that
- 04:56 - 04:59
I did with fellow students off the performance Torrey of
- 04:59 - 05:04
Social Innovation Studies, where for two years in a row
- 05:04 - 05:07
we went on a week in event with seven people
- 05:08 - 05:11
each day, visiting Difference Company and organizing a creative session
- 05:12 - 05:15
for the full day about a certain topic or issued
- 05:16 - 05:19
ahead. So you can say that I've done there 14
- 05:20 - 05:23
sessions in 14 days, which have all been very inspiring
- 05:24 - 05:24
in the picture.
- 05:24 - 05:27
You can see one that we did for the defense
- 05:28 - 05:32
organization in the north off Netherlands, where they had to
- 05:32 - 05:33
merge together.
- 05:33 - 05:38
So it was all army men basically there, which has
- 05:38 - 05:40
been a valuable experience as well.
- 05:42 - 05:45
So a different type of experience was the Emmaus Malaysia,
- 05:45 - 05:48
where I worked together with high school students in order
- 05:49 - 05:54
for them to find a fitting fitting education when they
- 05:55 - 05:57
graduate, so to find what they actually like to do.
- 05:58 - 06:01
So this was a workshop all about their intrinsic motivation.
- 06:02 - 06:03
It was very interesting as well.
- 06:04 - 06:08
And I've done three sessions that's really produce with the
- 06:08 - 06:12
volunteers off produce, which is, ah, charity organization.
- 06:14 - 06:16
So all the volunteers their day want to have a
- 06:16 - 06:19
say in how things are organized because they are at
- 06:20 - 06:21
the end of the day of voluntary and they just
- 06:21 - 06:22
want to have a voice.
- 06:23 - 06:26
So here we gave them a platform to speak up.
- 06:27 - 06:35
Eso I facilitated difference conversations with multiple off the volunteers,
- 06:36 - 06:41
and this was eventually going to very valuable outcome.
- 06:44 - 06:48
No So how do I work?
- 06:49 - 06:52
Well, first, this could be you possible clients.
- 06:54 - 06:55
You might have a challenge.
- 06:56 - 06:57
So you want to have this fixed?
- 06:58 - 07:00
But I like to do in the beginning is find
- 07:00 - 07:01
a question behind the question.
- 07:01 - 07:05
So I would use 500 questions under different techniques to
- 07:05 - 07:08
find the underlying issue which could be there.
- 07:09 - 07:10
Or maybe it's not there, but to reform.
- 07:11 - 07:14
You reframe the question that you initially come to me
- 07:15 - 07:16
with afterwards.
- 07:17 - 07:19
I like to use appreciative enquiries, design choices.
- 07:20 - 07:23
So this means to ask the following questions.
- 07:23 - 07:27
What gives life, How do we do inquiry and who
- 07:27 - 07:28
are we going to engage?
- 07:29 - 07:32
So with this last question, we're going to put together
- 07:33 - 07:35
a possible team off other people as well.
- 07:36 - 07:39
And then we saw with transformative scenario planning we already
- 07:39 - 07:41
started because there is the five seed.
- 07:41 - 07:44
So you start with the team, then you go through
- 07:44 - 07:48
the observation face afterwards to continue with the possibilities face.
- 07:49 - 07:54
Then you might find out what needs to change, and
- 07:54 - 07:58
eventually you're going to actually implements that change.
- 07:59 - 08:01
Now, this could be a way of working, though each
- 08:01 - 08:03
challenge might be in need of a different approach.
- 08:05 - 08:08
So that's why it's difficult to explain exactly the path
- 08:09 - 08:11
that we are going to go through together.
- 08:12 - 08:15
But one thing I know for sure is after these
- 08:16 - 08:19
possible steps, you might come to a solution.
- 08:20 - 08:23
But the solution is another stepping stone to something that
- 08:23 - 08:25
could be even better or bigger.
- 08:25 - 08:28
So I believe that it's an ongoing process and away,
- 08:28 - 08:33
off thinking off, approaching challenges that is non stop, and
- 08:33 - 08:34
that's never gonna end.
- 08:34 - 08:36
And I believe that that's the beauty off it as
- 08:36 - 08:39
well, because as an organization or as a company, I
- 08:39 - 08:41
believe that you are always in motion.
- 08:41 - 08:44
You're constantly on the move, so you have to to
- 08:44 - 08:48
better than mine and to be pre act proactive in
- 08:48 - 08:53
this. So what, I wonder now is, Are you ready
- 08:54 - 08:54
to jump in?
- 08:55 - 08:58
Are you ready to have faith patients on open mind?
- 09:00 - 09:05
Oh, and creativity eso That's the solution so that we
- 09:05 - 09:07
can to get a find a solution to a problem
- 09:08 - 09:11
you didn't know you had and a sustainable and durable
- 09:11 - 09:15
solution, and I do this at a better rate than
- 09:15 - 09:17
expensive consulted consultancy agencies.
- 09:20 - 09:23
So if you are enthusiastic now, please contact me.
- 09:24 - 09:27
Um and hopefully we are going to be able to
- 09:27 - 09:28
work together in the future.
- 09:28 - 09:31
Thank you for your attention and maybe we meet again.
