Social
This approach studies how behavior, thoughts and feelings can be affected by others. It also works by seeing how people are affected by the media as people can be socially affected even while they are alone.
Even if they do not admit it they act much differently when in a group, than they do on thier own.
Cognitive
This approach studies mental processes such as memory, perception, thinking, and creativity. They can also study how humans process and store data.
Its research is often the driving force behind research in other sub-fields which build off the basic knowledge of how the mind allows up to do all the coplex mental tasks that we do
Neuroscience
This approach is dedicated to analyzing biological aspects, such as neurons and the brain, to learn how the brain effects out actions. Neurons and Neurotransmitters are studied and alters in order to further understand how the brain works to processes emotions, memories and other thought processes.
