Jazz music started a cultural movement that influenced the language, dress, and attitude of the youth. Jazz was an urban style of music that linked to nightclubs, dance halls, and concert stages. Jazz created a rebellious society, in which people did whatever they wanted. Today jazz artist use the same instruments and melodies during the Harlem renaissance. Many new artist use older ideas and styles from songs in the Harlem renaissance to give their songs more meaning.

The jazz revolution

Louis Armstrong was one of the most influential jazz artist during the Harlem renaissance. louis as born on august 4, 1902, in New Orleans. throughout his young and adult life he influence many musicians in the jazz world with his daring trumpet style and unique vocals. Louis Armstrong became famous for songs like "star dust", "la via en rose", and "what a wonderful world".

Jazz music evolved from hymns, works songs, and field workers in the south. It became increasingly popular popular in the 1920 and had its roots in the big city's such as new Orleans, new york, and los angles. The jazz revolution was also caused by the great migration when African Americans moved to the city in search of a better life.

The Harlem renaissance was a literary, artistic, and cultural movement that began in 1918 and ended around 1933. This movement brought up many issues in the lives of african americans through music, drama, and painting. Jazz music became increasingly popular during this time and many musician in black community influenced its progress.
