Black Holes

What Are They?

  • Anything but empty space
  • So massive that light cannot escape them.
  • The crushed dense center of a star.
  • Originally from a star ten times the size of our sun packed into something the size of NYC.
  • Studied by detecting the effect on nearby matter.

How They are Found

By finding the gas and dust from nearby stars spiraling in.

And they give off x-rays which allow scientists to detect them.

Theories Regarding

They are a wormhole to another galaxy or universe.

There is a super massive black hole in the center of galaxies.

Line of Singularity

  • the center of a black hole
  • a point where gravitational tides combine.
  • theoretically nothing can touch it and survive
  • the curvature of space-time is at a maximum at this point

Theories of What is at the Bottom

A Wormhole

That they are neverending, therefore nothing.

The String Theory-

they contain little strings that store information.

Most Probable Theory

That there is a Super massive black hole at the center of galaxies because there is only so much that we can see and discover even with the technology that we have today and the other are really challenging to prove as if you get too close to a black hole you will slowly be spaghettified and that is before you could even enter it.
