Unfortunately, I was not able to engage my audience in this project. I will assume he did not respond because he is such a busy man. I followed up by traveling to his office to try to get a response in person, but he wasn't there.
I chose Dr, Palfai, a psychologist, as the audience for my piece because I remember learning about the dynamics of relationships in his class. It was very interesting for me, so I decided to merge the topic with our technology inquiry. To better reach my audience, I tried to talk about the psychology behind the issue as much as possible. How our minds work in relationships if you will.
As of right now, the conversation on my topic remains up to perspective. Technology can be seen as a good or bad thing with regards to relationships, as I showed in my first and second sources. Everyone views love in a different way, so whether they believe that technology has a positive or negative impact on it is up to perspective.
The sources that I used were pretty unique in their own way I thought. They had to do with technology of today and the future. They also had interesting mediums so I could engage the reader. Obviously, more research will need to be done in the future when new technologies arise that affect the relationships we have. For now, we can only predict.
This project and the methods we learned from it can be applied to range of other things outside of this class. For example, if I were to ever start my own blog, which I may one day, I can use methods I used to create this one. This project was interesting to do because it allowed us to be creative in our writing, which is often impossible in normal writing classes. Beyond college, if I had a job where I had to create a project for something technological (which will probably happen at some point since I am in the iSchool right now), then the inquiry of technology and the research methods I used to research the topic will certainly be useful.
