Example Problem:
Ax + By = C
3x - 2y = -12
3x - 2y = -12
Isolate y.
In other words, get the variable y all by itself
3x - 2y = -12

Subtract 3x from both sides
3x -2y = -12

-2y = -3x - 12
3x - 2y = -12

-2y = -3x - 12
Next Step: Divide both sides by -2
3x - 2y = -12
