Theodor Seuss Geisel, or Dr. Seuss by his pen name, wrote children's books as his way to fame.

Each book is known for its rhyme schemes,

imaginative characters, and color themes.

Some of these books, with this famous format, include Green Eggs and Ham, And...

One of Dr. Seuss' most famous stories, many kids link this cat with his name and glory.

All his stories have a purpose, a lesson not seen at the surface.

If you allow me to supply the facts, I will tell you the morals of the LORAX

The LORAX is about a curious young boy, who wants to see trees to embrace their joy.

The Once-ler is a man from out of town, who can explain how the trees can be found.

He boy travels far, through fields of chopped trees, as if someone went on a chopping spree.

At the far end of town, where the Grickle-grass grows,

was a house with a man that nobody knows.

No sight of his face, for he never left his house, this scared many to scurry like a mouse.

The Once-ler refused to talk unless there was a payment in his pail.

So the boy dropped in 15 cents, a nail, and the shell of a great great great grandfather snail.

The Once-ler agree's and tells his tale, as he looks through the payment in the pail.

He said when he arrived here all he could see, was wall to wall animals, and Truffula Trees.

The LORAX was shortish, oldish, brownish and mossy, and spoke with a voice that was sharpish and bossy.

The LORAX is who speaks for the trees, so this tree of knowledge will give its plea.

If we don't stop this chopping spree,

we'll soon be the boy looking for the trees.

The oncler ignored the LORAX and his plea, and continued to chop the Truffula Trees.

He invited his family, and built a big factory.

The Once-ler keeps "biggering" to keep making money.

and then it happened, they heard the last tree fall,

His family left, the factory closed.. And all the animals all left I suppose.

All that was left was the LORAX and his frown,

for there were no more trees around.

"The Truffula Tree's are what everyone needs"

The last Truffala tree of them all...

He had made such an impact, before he died, his birthday on March 2nd is celebrated world wide!

The LORAX disappeard becuase he lost his purpose

Environmental Facts

The LORAX won't always be there to save the forest,

So is it our job to do the rest?

The Morals of

The LORAX

The LORAX is silly when his message is ignored, but if we all listened, we learn so much more

The world today takes its material from nature, but what harm does it cause? Is anyone sure?

Cutting down a tree leads to another, well be cutting down a forest, then cutting down its brothers.

The LORAX is full of personification, which fight for the environments duration.

Moral of the LORAX

Although Dr. Seuss wrote children's books, the lessons he taught were much more serious then they look.

The LORAX speaks for the trees because the trees have no tongue, so out of the stump he had sprung

Leaving nothing but a stone that says "Unless"

He saw these trees were perfect, they were just what he needed to work with.

The LORAX appeared from the stump, and looked at him with the face of a grump.

"I'm being quite useful. This thing is a Thneed. A Thneeds a Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need!"

He chopped down a tree and took the top tuff, and used it to make creative stuff.

Then the Once-ler understands! The stone means unless someone cares..

He gave the boy a seed, of the very last Truffula Tree.

And if we act like the boy and all do our turn, maybe the LORAX will one day return!
