-Liberty Enlightening the World-

Known as the statue of liberty is one of the most famous monuments of NY, the U.S.A, and all the world. Is situated on the Liberty Island, at the south of Manhattan, next to the river Hudson, and near Ellis Island.

The statue was a present from French to the Americans, in 1886 for celebrate the

Declaration of independence.

The attempts of the 11 of September in 2001, were a series of suicidal terrorist attacks in the United States for members of the network yihadista Al Qaeda, by the kidnapping plane of line to be impressed against the twin towers and that caused the death to near 3.000 persons and hurt to other 6.000.

Four planes with passengers were kidnapped in route to California. The first two planes affected against the Twin Towers, the third party against the Pentagon Washington DC and the fourth in a field opened in Shanksville Pensilvania.

The attemps of the 11-S had an horrible effect infront the population. Security and bodies forces that intervened in the labours of rescue, specially firemen, were considered heroes.

Policmen and members of rescue teams of the whole contry centered in NY for the recovery of bodies.

The blood donations had an awesome increasement.

The increase of the racism against the persons of Arabic origin had many consequences.

The days after the assault, several briefs and honorings were realized about the world.

One of the first briefs was the Tribute in Light, the installation of 88 lights of search in the site were where the Twin Towers. You could see two vertical columns of liht at the sky.

In every anniversary, in the city of New York, are read the names of the victims who died there.

It was opened a wiki dedicated to the attempt, but it was closed the 15th of September in 2006.
