- The basic clothing colors were red and off-white.
- There were also Legionary, Auxiliary, and Cavarly soldiers.
- The type I'm focusing on are the Legionary Soldiers.
Legionary Soldiers
The legionary soldiers were Roman citizens younger than 45. They served for 20 years. These soldiers were skilled engineers and craftsmen because they had to build roads, bridges, and forts.
Types of Uniforms
Centurion
The centurion soldiers would’ve worn this. They were the officers that commanded the Roman centuries. Centuries were subdivisions of the Roman Army.
common Soldiers
The most common or lower ranked soldiers would’ve worn something similar to this. This is an example of a legion soldier.
